Los Angeles police are investigating three consecutive robbery cases in the Hollywood area that occurred last Friday (August 16).
According to reports from the city news agency, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported that the first robbery took place at 8:03 pm on Friday evening at the intersection of Sunset Blvd and La Brea Ave. Approximately twenty teens in their teens or early twenties smashed the glass windows of a 7-Eleven convenience store and stole food and other items.
Around 8:22 pm on the same night, another similar group attacked a 7-Eleven store in the 5700 block of Santa Monica Blvd near Western Ave. The thieves fled the scene on bicycles after looting the store.
Authorities stated that it is currently uncertain whether these two robbery cases were carried out by the same group of people.
Between these two incidents, police received a report of a third robbery at 8:16 pm near Highland Ave and Hollywood Blvd. According to NBC4, this robbery also took place inside a 7-Eleven store.
Police noted that there were no reports of injuries in any of these three cases.
Previously, on August 9, near the 8500 block of Olympic Blvd, around fifty young people vandalized a 7-Eleven convenience store near La Cienega Blvd, stealing cigarettes and other goods before leaving on bicycles.
Currently, authorities have not provided any new information regarding this case.
