US Defense Secretary: Iranian High-Ranking Officials Like Rats on a Sinking Ship, New Leader May Suffer Repercussions

Pentagon chief and Minister of War, Haggis, said on Friday (March 13) in a press conference that the Iranian leadership is now like a rat on the run, hiding everywhere, and the newly appointed so-called supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, may have been disfigured.

Haggis stated on Friday, “We know that this so-called newest leader, though seemingly not in a very high position, has been injured and possibly disfigured.” He did not disclose the source of the intelligence.

Mojtaba is the son of Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Khamenei. The United States and Israel launched a joint airstrike on February 28, killing 49 Iranian leaders including Khamenei. Several of Khamenei’s family members perished. Mojtaba subsequently took over Iran’s leadership but has not made any public appearances. Iranian state television reported that he was wounded in battle.

On Thursday (March 12), Mojtaba released his first public statement, expressing determination to continue the fight, vowing to bring more suffering to Gulf Arab countries, threatening to escalate conflicts in Iran and disrupt world energy supply, global economy, and international travel. However, he did not show himself.

During Friday’s press conference, Haggis questioned Mojtaba’s governing capabilities.

“He (Mojtaba) made a statement yesterday. It was actually weak, without any sound or video, just a written statement,” Haggis said. “He calls for unity. Apparently, in his view, massacring tens of thousands of protestors is unity.”

“Iran has plenty of cameras and recording devices, why only release a written statement? I think you all know the reason. His father is dead, he’s scared, injured, on the run, and lacks legitimacy,” he said. “For them, it’s a mess now. Who is in charge? Iran might not even know themselves.”

Haggis also described the current situation of the Iranian leadership.

“The condition of the Iranian leadership is equally dire – they are desperate, hiding underground, timid and feeble, like mice.”

He emphasized that the U.S. will show no mercy to the enemy in this war, leaving no one alive.
