Seven middle-aged police officers suddenly die in succession, all of them are members of the Chinese Communist Party.

In a span of about five weeks from late January to early March 2026, at least seven middle-aged police officers aged between 35 and 55 died suddenly in mainland China, and all of them were members of the Chinese Communist Party.

According to a report from the Cover News on March 10, 2026, Yin Xiaoqiang, a police officer at the Baoshan Police Station of Leibo County Public Security Bureau in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, succumbed to a sudden illness and passed away on March 6, 2026, at the young age of 35. Yin Xiaoqiang, born in April 1990 in Dechang, Sichuan, joined the Chinese Communist Party in December 2020 and engaged in police work since April 2017. He held the rank of third-level police and first-level police inspector, and was serving as the director of the Baoshan Police Station, overseeing criminal investigation.

As reported on the WeChat account “Hanchuan Zhengfa,” Chen Shiping, a second-level police inspector and third-level police officer at the detention center in Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, passed away on March 2, 2026, at the age of 54. Chen Shiping, a CCP member born on February 7, 1972, enlisted in December 1990 and served in various roles in the army before transitioning to the Hanchuan City Public Security Bureau in September 2006.

Another report by mainland Chinese media mentioned that on March 6, 2026, He Dahui, a police officer at the Hengyang City Detention Center in Hunan Province, passed away at the age of 55 due to a sudden illness while on duty. He Dahui, born on May 7, 1971, in Hengnan County, Hunan, enlisted in the military in March 1990 and later transferred to the Hengyang City Public Security Bureau in 2002, working at the detention center and juvenile detention center.

On March 2, 2026, Meng Heng, a community police officer at the Wenfeng Police Station of the Duyun City Public Security Bureau, Guizhou Province, died suddenly at the age of 46 while on duty. Meng Heng, born in January 1980, belongs to the Buyi ethnic group and joined the Chinese Communist Party in December 2012. He held the rank of third-level police at the Wenfeng Police Station and was honored as an outstanding party member in 2015.

In the early hours of February 20, 2026, Chen Miao, the deputy director of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Hainan Provincial Public Security Department, passed away at the age of 50 due to a sudden illness while conducting guidance work in Wuzhishan City. Chen Miao, born in September 1975 and a CCP member, had served in various positions within the police force for 31 years, including deputy battalion commander, battalion commander, deputy director, and director at different levels.

On February 15, 2026, Jiemu News reported that Li Tianbin, the chief of the Xiditou Battalion of the Traffic Management Detachment at the Beichen Sub-Bureau of the Tianjin Public Security Bureau, passed away recently due to illness at the age of 53. Li Tianbin, a CCP member, had worked in Tianjin’s traffic management field for over 30 years and was awarded the rank of third-level police supervisor by the Ministry of Public Security of the CCP in March 2024.

On January 29, 2026, Luo Wei, a police officer at the Wuchuan Public Security Bureau in Guangdong, passed away suddenly due to illness at the age of 42. Luo Wei, born in September 1983, was a CCP member and graduated from the Guangdong Police College in 2005 majoring in public security. He had served in Dongguan and Wuchuan public security systems, holding positions such as head of the Legal System Brigade, head of the Criminal Investigation Brigade, and instructor at the police station.
