A group of renowned singers including Shi Xiaorong, Yin Zhengyang, Zhou Zhiping, Luo Jizhen, Jin Zhijuan, Yu Taiyan, Ye Huan, and Chen Aimeng gathered in Taipei today for a rehearsal of the “Folk Songs Carnation” concert. Among them, Ye Huan, who has a good relationship with Xing Long, was asked about his recent situation. Ye Huan admitted that they had been in touch earlier, but recently she has been busy and hasn’t been able to keep in contact.
Taiwan’s “Dance Queen” Liu Zhen passed away abruptly in March 2020 due to a failed heart surgery, leaving Xing Long and their daughter Ni Ni to rely on each other. Xing Long was devastated by the loss of his beloved wife, causing his career to come to a standstill, and he has struggled to overcome the grief of losing his wife. Since leaving his management company, Xing Long has been in hiding for nearly 4 years. Ye Huan, a close friend of Xing Long, was also asked about his recent situation when attending the rehearsal today.
Ye Huan mentioned that they became acquainted earlier because they often went to comfort overseas Chinese with other artists and joined a group where they would often share enjoyable songs. “Previously when I heard him speak, it seemed like his mood was not bad, and his voice was quite steady,” Ye Huan said. The group mainly focused on music exchanges, and Ye Huan also expressed that she would convey everyone’s concerns to him.
The concert is scheduled to take place at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) on May 12, bringing together 8 singers on stage. This event not only marks Ye Huan’s first public performance in 13 years but also her first appearance in a folk music concert in her 40-year career. She couldn’t contain her excitement during the rehearsal.
As the performance coincides with Mother’s Day this year, they have specially prepared a medley to dedicate to all mothers.
55-year-old Chen Aimeng revealed that she will become a grandmother by the end of the year, which has filled her with joy. She expressed, “I have been wanting to laugh a lot recently, even giggling in the middle of the night,” immersing herself in happiness.
