Today marks the 36th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square incident. Members of the international hacker group “Anonymous” have attacked several Chinese party, government, and military websites, implanting messages such as “Remember June 4” along with images of tanks entering Beijing during the crackdown. This includes the Chinese military’s app “Mobile National Defense.”
The Anonymous64 account on X platform was established last year and launched attacks on various Chinese party, government, and military websites on the 35th anniversary of the event. Hackers, whose IP addresses indicate they are based in China, announced their return today, stating their intention to inform the Chinese people about the truth of the Communist Party’s massacre and tyranny.
Anonymous64 reported that it has successively hacked into multiple websites, including China Foreign News Network, China Enterprise News Network, the People’s Liberation Army News App “Mobile National Defense,” Guangzhou Shipyard Technical School, Shenyang Ziwei Heng Testing Equipment Co., Ltd., and the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce Trade Association.
These Chinese websites have been implanted with messages like “Remember June 4” and images depicting the tanks’ entry into Beijing during the crackdown, along with articles revealing the truth about June 4. They have also put forth four major demands: “End one-party rule,” “Implement democratic elections,” “Restore freedom of speech,” and “Ensure freedom of the press.”
Anonymous64 also announced that it hacked into seven WeChat video accounts, including Shandong Business Vocational Technical College, with online viewers peaking at nearly 500 people.
