The song “China’s President”, originally sung by Taiwan rapper Chen Baiyuan, was recently featured on the YouTube channel of Taiwanese internet celebrity Bajiong, exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s methods of bribing Taiwanese internet celebrities, sparking widespread attention among netizens. Following this, Chen Baiyuan revealed in his latest video that his Douyin account had been blocked.
Known for discussing current events, Taiwanese internet celebrity Bajiong released the “China’s United Front Documentary Part 1” on the 6th. He invited rapper Chen Baiyuan, known for his song “China’s President” which became popular across both sides of the Taiwan Strait and was previously referred to as a “Chinese Communist United Front template,” to expose the Chinese Communist United Front’s tactics of buying off Taiwanese internet celebrities, including call records between Taiwanese internet celebrities and Chinese officials.
During the filming, Chen Baiyuan immediately made a phone call with the director of the Chinese Communist Party media Fujian “Straits Herald”. When Chen Baiyuan expressed his desire to introduce young people from Taiwan to develop across the strait, the other party readily agreed, offering to arrange interviews and provide resources, and introduce to the Taiwan Affairs Office, and more.
During the call, the director actively tried to persuade Chen Baiyuan to return to China, repeatedly saying, “Come back! Whatever resources you need, I’ll help you with it.” When asked about arranging interviews or coverage if he were to return to China, the director immediately said that they would contact “Zhong Mingxuan”, suggesting a pre-existing cooperative relationship between the two parties.
Earlier this year, Taiwanese internet celebrity Potter Wang had announced that the Chinese government planned to recruit Taiwanese internet celebrities to China for sightseeing and filming under the guise of “Cross-Strait Youth Cultural Month” in July, with the entire trip being “all expenses paid.” At that time, Taiwanese internet celebrity Zhong Mingxuan was once named by netizens.
The video has already garnered over 1.4 million views and almost 14,000 comments within roughly 24 hours of its release. Many netizens have commented, “Thank you for risking your lives to speak out about the truths that many dare not say for the Chinese-speaking world,” “Exposing the CCP’s conspiracy, keep it up,” “You are the heroes of Taiwan, exposing the darkness of the mainland and protecting Taiwan,” “Thank you so much for the first time. Thank you Bajiong, Chen Baiyuan, and the team. Please stay safe together to safeguard Taiwan’s freedom and democracy,” “Hopefully, it can also be translated into Japanese and Korean, let the international community see the real infiltration of the CCP.”
In a subsequent video update by Bajiong, Chen Baiyuan showed the scene of his Douyin account being blocked, and there have been many “little pinks” on Weibo cursing him to “quickly get back to Taiwan,” “despicable, this kind of person should be harshly dealt with,” “can all his works be removed from the platform.”
