Today’s focus: Putin causing big trouble?! Ukrainian troops blackout national TV network in Russia; Israeli airstrikes continue to decapitate Hezbollah, with over 10,000 troops engaging in ground operations; Russian special forces discovered in Lebanon, Ukrainian troops stage “Saving Private Ryan.”

It appears that Hezbollah is truly akin to Hamas’s twin brother, both exhibiting a propensity for provocation. Despite their four successive leaders being beheaded, they continue to provoke by launching a significant number of rockets at Israel.

On October 8th, Hezbollah once again fired approximately 100 rockets into the northern Israeli cities of Haifa and Akko. The sky above Haifa immediately filled with groups of rockets, with footage showing Israelis seemingly accustomed to such attacks, responding with a calm demeanor. Israel’s Iron Dome defense system began intercepting rockets, creating a stunning scene.

Hezbollah seems to employ a tactic of launching hundreds of rockets simultaneously, with the Iron Dome’s excellent defense still allowing some to slip through. Local residents captured scenes of rockets exploding on the ground, with potential casualties yet to be confirmed.

Since Hamas’s terrorist attacks on Israel a year ago, Israel has been engaged in relentless military operations against Gaza and Lebanon. Despite the focus on these areas, Israel’s own territory has not been spared from attacks, with over 26,000 rockets and missiles launched towards Israel from various directions. Gaza’s Hamas fired 13,200 rockets, Hezbollah fired 12,400, with Iran launching 400 missiles, 180 from Yemen’s Houthi rebels, and 60 from Syria.

Calculating the staggering number of missile and rocket attacks on Israel over the past year, averaging over 70 projectiles per day, highlights the relentless nature of the conflict. Israel’s resilience under severe attacks sets them apart, demonstrating their formidable strength.

In terms of missile and rocket launches, it’s no wonder Israel swiftly shifted its focus from Hamas in Gaza to Hezbollah in Lebanon. The latest update saw Israel deploying its 146th Division to combat Hezbollah in Lebanon, with a total of over 15,000 Israeli Defense Forces entering Lebanon. So far, 450 Hezbollah members have been killed in ground operations, including over 30 Hezbollah officers. Simultaneously, airstrikes on October 27th by Israel targeted over 120 Hezbollah locations, resulting in the killing of Hezbollah headquarters’ leader, Suheil Hussein, and logistics chief Hosseini.

On the same day, Israel announced the establishment of a military exclusion zone in southern Lebanon and along the Israeli border, completely isolating Hezbollah militants from Israeli territory. Consequently, Israel informed residents they could safely return to their homes in the northern border region.

Moscow seems to be facing a major incident! On the evening of October 8th, Russian citizens captured footage of numerous police cars and ambulances racing towards the Kremlin. Unusually, three convoy batches were observed hastening towards the Kremlin.

The unexpected situation sparked widespread speculation due to the Russian government’s silence, with rumors suggesting Putin fell ill or experienced a case of hemoptysis, leading to the dispatch of medical and security personnel to the Kremlin. Regardless of the authenticity of these rumors, it’s clear that an unusual incident occurred at the Kremlin that night, hinting at significant developments.

On October 7th, Putin’s 72nd birthday, Ukraine attacked Crimea’s largest oil depot, igniting a fire that continued burning for over 48 hours. Additionally, Russia faced massive cyberattacks originating from Ukraine. The outage of the Russian state TV and radio network’s website and its “Russia 24-hour” rolling news channel further heightened suspicions.

Putin’s recent challenges, including failed directives regarding Ukraine and Israel, have raised uncertainties. Russia’s overseas military bases were targeted by Israeli airstrikes following Putin’s statements, revealing deeper ties between Hezbollah, Iran, and Russia. The discovery of a Hezbollah unit called the “Redwan Forces,” including Russian members, underscored Russia’s involvement.

The Redwan Forces, an offshoot of Hezbollah operating in Syria, comprised members bearing Hezbollah insignias alongside Cyrillic script used in Russia. It was eventually revealed that these individuals were Russian special forces and members of the Redwan unit.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine persists, with frontline soldiers facing the most danger. Recently, a rescue operation reminiscent of “Saving Private Ryan” unfolded in Ukraine. On October 8th, four Ukrainian soldiers from the Third Assault Brigade were ambushed and captured by Russian forces while moving positions. Swift action by a Ukrainian rapid response team led to their successful rescue with the support of an American-made M113 armored vehicle, fending off the pursuing Russian forces.

For these soldiers who narrowly escaped capture, a reunion with their families is the most cherished moment. However, many Ukrainian military families are not as fortunate, exemplified by a mother and child searching for answers about the child’s missing father, while younger children may only recognize their absent fathers through photographs.
