On May 21, 2024, American writer and actress Katherine Schwarzenegger, the eldest daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger, is married to actor Chris Pratt, who played “Star-Lord” in the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Pratt recently expressed his desire to work on a film with his wife but worries that she might ruin it by continuously laughing during filming.
In the American animated adventure comedy film “The Garfield Movie”, 44-year-old Chris Pratt lent his voice to the character of Garfield. During the global premiere of “The Garfield Movie” at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Pratt mentioned his idea of collaborating with his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, on a film project.
Pratt told People magazine, “I asked her, and I think she would be outstanding because she’s actually a very good actress.” He praised Katherine for her imitation performances, but she admitted that she might struggle as she tends to laugh a lot. Pratt agreed with her concern, saying he fears his wife might break into laughter continuously during filming.
“When she starts laughing, she can’t stop. So, she might burst into laughter during filming and ruin the whole thing,” Pratt said.
Although they haven’t acted together, Katherine accompanied her husband to the global premiere of “The Garfield Movie”. Pratt, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son-in-law, wore a brown plaid suit on the orange carpet, while Katherine wore an embroidered blue outfit. The movie is set to premiere in the United States on May 24 and in Taiwan on June 7.
Pratt, 44, and Katherine, 34, have been married for nearly five years and have two daughters, 3-year-old Lyla Maria and Eloise Christina who just turned 2 on May 21. Pratt also has an 11-year-old son, Jack, with his former wife, Anna Faris.
Expressing his desire to show the movie “The Garfield Movie” to his children, Pratt said, “Films like ‘The Garfield Movie’ are suitable for all ages, and both my daughters are still very young, while my son is already 11 and has seen many of my movies. But my daughters have never seen any movie I’ve acted in, so this might be the first one they see.”
Apart from “The Garfield Movie”, Pratt’s recent film appearances include portraying Owen Grady in “Jurassic World: Dominion” (2022), playing the lead role of Star-Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”, and voicing Mario in “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” (2023).
In upcoming movies, he is set to reprise his role as Mario in the 2026 sequel to “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”.
