Messi Thanksgiving Parade Draws Millions of Spectators, Overcrowding the Streets

The 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City kicked off promptly at 8:30 am on November 27th (Thursday), drawing millions of spectators who flooded the streets of Midtown Manhattan to witness this globally renowned festive event. Despite the cold weather, the enthusiasm of the crowd watching the parade performances remained high, creating a bustling and vibrant atmosphere in the city from early morning.

This year’s lineup of parade floats and performers was dazzling and spectacular—featuring 34 larger-than-life balloons, 28 grand floats, 11 marching bands, 9 performance groups, 33 clown units, and 14 professional performance groups. Several well-known celebrities also joined the parade, transforming Sixth Avenue into a festive and dreamy thoroughfare.

Giant balloons weaved through the skyscrapers, the floats showcased elaborate and eye-catching designs, brimming with creativity. The bands and dancers led the procession with music and choreography, eliciting applause and cheers from the audience wherever they went.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade stretched over 2.5 miles, starting at the intersection of West 77th Street and Central Park on the Upper West Side, then heading south along the west side of Central Park to 61st Street. It then turned into the southern side of Central Park, continuing down Sixth Avenue to 38th Street before culminating in a magnificent finale at Macy’s Herald Square on 34th Street.
