On July 17th, a man in Pingjiang County, Hunan Province set fire to a car repair shop due to a dispute, resulting in his own death and the deaths of two others in the shop.
A viral video shows the entire store consumed by the flames, with multiple electric cars parked at the entrance being ignited, leaving only the metal structure behind.
On July 17th, the Pingjiang County Public Security Bureau announced via their official WeChat account that at 4:30 pm that day, they received a report from the public about a fire in a shop in the old town area of the county. Upon preliminary investigation, it was found that a 42-year-old man named Xun caused the fire inside the shop due to a dispute with the shop owner. Xun died on the spot in the blaze, while the other two individuals in the shop also died after being sent to the hospital.
However, the police report did not disclose the specific reasons behind the incident or the identities of the other two deceased individuals.
According to online sources, the shop is located on Daqiao West Road in Hanchang Street, Pingjiang County. Xun had purchased a motorcycle from the shop and encountered issues with it. When he demanded a refund, the owner refused. In a fit of rage, Xun poured gasoline on himself and set himself on fire inside the shop.
Apart from Xun, the other two shop assistants were the daughter and son of the shop owner, Chen. The daughter is 21 years old, and the son is 20 years old.
