Two US Secret Service vehicles spotted in Beijing ahead of Trump’s visit to China.

President Trump is about to visit China. Following the arrival of a large U.S. military transport plane, the C-17, in Beijing, netizens have spotted two vehicles from the U.S. Secret Service on the streets of Beijing. Informed sources revealed that for the Trump-Xi meeting, the U.S. side has requested that the security within a certain radius around Trump be handled by the American team, and Chinese personnel are not allowed to enter the U.S. security zone.

On May 6, a popular Weibo user, “Big Broad 80,” posted that vehicles from the U.S. Secret Service, bearing U.S. government license plates, were seen loitering near the Beijing airport expressway and the third ring road.

“Big Broad 80” later added that the two U.S. Secret Service vehicles spotted by the Beijing public consisted of a Chevrolet Suburban and a Ford 350 roadrunner, which is used as a communication vehicle in the presidential fleet.

According to previous information released by the U.S., Trump plans to visit Beijing on May 14th to 15th and meet with the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Jinping. However, the Chinese side has only stated that they are “maintaining communication” without officially confirming specific dates and schedules.

On May 1st and 2nd, two U.S. military C-17 transport planes have successively landed in Beijing, followed by two more on May 3rd. Netizens have shared videos taken on the scene, stating, “The Chinese people welcome the U.S. military.”

As per past practices, before a U.S. president’s trip, strategic transport planes like the C-17 would airlift supporting materials to the destination in advance. This includes the President’s vehicle known as “The Beast,” security communication systems, ground escort vehicles, and related equipment. When the President’s plane, Air Force One, lands, all ground support will be in place.

Sources in the Beijing diplomatic circle previously informed Dajiyuan that in mid-March, a group of U.S. advance personnel had already arrived in Beijing: “Advance personnel have been here for a while, examining every detail of Trump’s itinerary. The U.S. has requested that the security within a certain radius around Trump be handled by the Americans, with the Chinese side responsible for the outer perimeter, and Chinese personnel not allowed to enter the U.S. security zone. This plan has been confirmed by both sides.”
