The American Chinese Engineers Association (CIE) San Francisco Chapter held a virtual press conference on the 18th, announcing that their 45th annual conference will take place on April 27th (next Saturday) at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The conference promises to be filled with rich content, and the Senior Vice President of Ultra Micro Semiconductor Company will serve as the keynote speaker.
With the theme of “Rethinking Boundaries: Artificial Intelligence and Creativity,” this year’s conference will feature discussions on emerging technologies and an evening banquet and awards ceremony. Dr. Vamsi Boppana, responsible for artificial intelligence at Ultra Micro Semiconductor (AMD), will be the keynote speaker at the conference banquet.
The afternoon of the 27th will feature an emerging technology seminar open to the public, providing an excellent opportunity for industry executives, professionals, and friends to engage face-to-face. The seminar consists of six events, namely:
– Deep Learning Framework Workshop
– Panel Discussion on Artificial Intelligence Applications
– Interview with the 2024 Oscar Nominee for Documentary Producing
– Lecture on the Future Trends of Artificial Intelligence Servers
– Discussion on the Progress of AI and Its Relationship with Humanity
– HP Enterprise Education Seminar on AI Education for High School Students and Parents
During the conference banquet, Dr. Vamsi Boppana will deliver an exciting speech on artificial intelligence at Ultra Micro Semiconductor (AMD).
At the banquet, awards will be presented for Entrepreneur of the Year, Technology and Humanities of the Year, as well as Student Scholarship. Dr. Song Li, Founder and Chairman of Frontage Laboratories, and Dr. Norman Chang, Chief Scientist at ANSYS, will each receive the Outstanding Entrepreneur Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Technology and Humanities of the Year award will be presented to Mr. Jiang Xianbin, founder of SINA.com and CNEX, for his work on the Oscar-nominated documentary “Island in Between” this year.
The American Chinese Engineers Association (CIE) was established in New York in 1917. The San Francisco Chapter was founded in 1979 with Dr. Ta-lin Hsu as the first President. Currently, there are seven chapters in the United States, including New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle, New Mexico, OCEESA, and Los Angeles.
