“Walmart and Lowe’s recall 12,000 barbecue grills”

According to the announcement by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Walmart and Lowe’s are recalling thousands of Cuisinart grills due to a risk of serious injury to users. The CPSC stated that approximately 12,660 Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grills equipped with a pizza oven are being recalled. These grills were sold at Lowe’s and Walmart between December 2024 and May 2026. Additionally, around 83 of the same grills were sold in Canada.

The agency mentioned in the recall statement that “the tempered glass window in the pizza oven may break during use, posing a risk of severe injuries such as cuts.”

In the U.S., there have been 37 reports of the grill glass breaking during use, while in Canada, there has been one report of the grill glass breaking with no reported injuries.

The product information for the recall is as follows:

– Product Name: Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grills
– Features: Combined griddle, stove, and pizza oven
– Manufacturer: Conair
– Model: CGG-6331 (Check inside the metal door on the right side of the grill)
– Recall Number: 26-605

According to the recall notice, these grills were sold at Lowe’s and Walmart stores in the U.S., with 83 affected products sold in Canada.

Customers who have purchased the recalled grill are advised to immediately stop using it and follow the instructions provided by CPSC:

1. Visit the Conair website to confirm if your grill is within the recall scope.
2. If affected, safely remove the tempered glass from the pizza oven of the grill as per Conair’s instructions.
3. Upload two photos – one showing the removed glass and another showing the serial number of the grill rack – to the website https://www.recallrtr.com/3in1grill.

CPSC stated that once the grill is confirmed as a recalled product, the owner will receive a $500 refund check or the original purchase amount if a receipt is provided. After receiving the refund, grill owners should write “RECALL” on the glass with a black marker and dispose of it.
