Sichuan continues to experience high temperatures, on July 13th, multiple regions issued red high-temperature alerts. Cities like Dazhou and Suining saw temperatures reaching 40℃, with some areas in Guang’an hitting as high as 41℃, and the highest temperature in the eastern new district of Chengdu reaching 40.9℃. Since July 11th, widespread high temperatures have been recorded in provinces such as Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guangdong, and Guangxi.
According to CCTV News, as of 11:00 on July 13th, multiple regions in Sichuan have issued or upgraded red high-temperature alerts. In some areas of Mianyang, the high-temperature warning has been upgraded to red, and in certain parts of Deyang, a red high-temperature warning has been issued.
Meteorological departments in various regions have forecasted that high temperatures will persist in parts of the Sichuan Basin. In areas like Dazhou, Suining, and Ziyang, temperatures can reach up to 40℃; Guang’an is generally experiencing temperatures between 38℃ and 40℃, with some areas reaching 41℃. As of 5:00 PM, the highest temperature in Chengdu was recorded at 40.9℃, occurring in the eastern new district.
The Chengdu Meteorological Observatory predicts that Chengdu will predominantly experience hot and sunny weather in the coming week, with daytime highs ranging from 36℃ to 39℃ in the central and eastern regions. The Sichuan Meteorological Observatory forecasts that for most of the Sichuan Basin in the next week, it will be mainly clear to partly cloudy, with daytime highs reaching 34℃ to 38℃, and some eastern areas exceeding 39℃.
On July 10th, the director of the Sichuan Climate Center mentioned that in late July to August, the expected number of high-temperature days is between 14 and 17, significantly higher than the typical 8.3 days for the same period but lower than the 27.3 days in the same period in 2022 and 19.8 days in 2025.
