Exhibition of June 4th Photos to Be Held Next to Flushing Library on Sunday

This year marks the 37th anniversary of the CCP’s Tiananmen Square massacre. The Christian Justice Alliance has been hosting a photo exhibition on the events of June 4th starting from May 10th near the Flushing Library in New York City. The exhibition features a plethora of historical photos and written accounts, offering a retrospective on the 1989 Beijing Tiananmen Square democracy movement and the bloody crackdown by the CCP on June 4th, urging people not to forget the atrocities committed by the CCP and its history of violence.

The displayed historical photos number in the hundreds, depicting scenes from 1989 of students and citizens advocating for democracy, including student gatherings at Tiananmen Square, hunger strikes, support from Beijing residents, Zhao Ziyang visiting students, and the later deployment of martial law by the CCP, the entry of tanks and troops into Beijing to suppress the movement, the bloody clearance of the square, the rescue of the wounded, the bodies of the deceased, and the iconic “Tank Man” among other historical images.

Shao Jun, the head of the Christian Justice Alliance, pointed out that the students back then held ideals of anti-corruption and anti-bureaucracy, but were ultimately met with repression by the CCP using tanks, machine guns, and live ammunition. In the aftermath, the CCP distorted the truth, portraying the students as rioters while covering up its own brutality. The photo exhibition is not only a tribute to the victims of June 4th but also aims to remind the world that the CCP’s history of violence has never truly been put to rest. As the anniversary of June 4th approaches, the exhibition hopes to enlighten more people about the truth, reflect on history, recognize the true nature of the CCP, and cherish the values of freedom and human rights.

Time: The photo exhibition runs every Sunday until June 7th, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Location: Next to the Flushing Library in Queens, New York City.
