In Guangzhou, Guangdong, a woman jumped from a fifth-floor shopping mall and hit a passerby, sparking a heated discussion online. Rumors circulated on the internet that the woman who jumped off the building had bought several houses that were all unfinished.

On April 28th, the topic of “Woman Jumps from Guangzhou Mall, Hits Pedestrian” trended on social media platforms in mainland China. Surveillance footage circulating online showed that around 4:27 pm on the 27th, a woman wearing a red top and carrying a bag was seen walking inside the mall. Suddenly, she moved a chair to the glass railing at the center of the mall, stood on it, appeared to shout down below, then got off the chair, stood back on it while still shouting, and then jumped off. The woman landed on the ground below, with another woman in black lying beside her.

According to a report by “Yangcheng Evening Post,” on the 28th, the incident took place at the Huan Yu Cheng Shopping Mall in Nansha, Guangzhou. Witnesses stated that the woman hit the black-clad woman on the ground after jumping.

Mall staff responded by saying they could not disclose specific details but mentioned that the mall was operating normally.

The pedestrian who was hit shared her experience online, stating that she was knocked unconscious immediately upon being hit and felt a great deal of pain, unable to recall recent events and unsure of her surroundings. She was diagnosed with a mild concussion, fortunately without any bone injuries.

She mentioned that she was shopping at Huan Yu Cheng Mall in Nansha, Guangzhou, and was preparing to go home when the woman jumped from the fifth floor and hit her in the atrium of the first floor.

“After being hit, it felt like I was in a dream or maybe even dead, only regaining consciousness when I was in the ambulance and hearing from medical staff that I was hit,” the woman said. “This year is my zodiac year, and if this was a necessary trial in my life, then I have safely crossed it.
