“Chinese 23-Year-Old Female Student Goes Missing in the US for Over Three Weeks, Parents Arrive in the US”

On November 17, a missing person post has sparked the attention of netizens. A 23-year-old Chinese student studying in the United States has been missing for over three weeks, causing extreme worry for her family. On the morning of November 17, the father of the missing girl, He Junyi, stated that his daughter lost contact with the family on October 23 and there has been no word from her since.

According to the “missing person notice,” He Junyi is a student at Boston University, majoring in Economics and Mathematics, standing at 1.8 meters tall and weighing 70 kilograms. On September 1, 2025, based on a friend’s recommendation, He Junyi moved to Arlington, Massachusetts. Starting from September, Boston University noticed her absence from classes, and October 23 marked the last communication with her family, now surpassing three weeks of being missing. Local authorities are actively investigating the case. He Junyi’s parents have rushed from China to the United States.

Reported by “Gaze News,” He Junyi’s father and wife arrived in the United States on November 14. Their last contact with their daughter was on October 23 when she briefly replied to a text message, after which all communication ceased, and attempts to reach her through phone calls and WeChat were unsuccessful.

“In the past, there were instances where she did not respond to our messages. The frequency of our calls this year has been relatively low, but we could at least track her activities through credit card transactions. This time, there are more unknown factors. One of her friends mentioned they had plans to have dinner together, but she ended up canceling, and since then, we have been unable to contact her. We wonder if it’s due to anxiety, self-blame, or stress causing her to isolate herself,” He Junyi’s father said.

Currently, the Boston University Police Department and the Boston Police Department are actively investigating the case, and the search efforts are ongoing.
