Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau issued a real-time alert for heavy thunderstorms on the evening of August 2nd. The areas under caution are Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Tainan City, and Taitung County. Due to the impact of the rain, the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration of the Executive Yuan announced the suspension of work and classes in various regions of Taiwan on August 3rd as follows:

Sandimen Township – Work and classes suspended
Majia Township – Work and classes suspended
Laiyi Township – Work and classes suspended
Taiwu Township – Work and classes suspended

Mudan Township – Work and classes suspended
Gaoshu Township – Work and classes suspended
