Man Hangs Banner in Beijing Last Year Calling CCP a Cult, Video Surfaces Today

On October 25, 2025, there were banners hung in the streets of Sanlitun, Beijing, with slogans directly accusing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of being an anti-human cult. At that time, only photos were exposed, but today (18th), the video of the incident has surfaced online overseas.

March 18th, an account named “YiFeng Su” posted a video claiming that Beijing activists hung banners in a shopping mall with the content: “The essence of the Communist Party is anti-human, anti-humanity cult, they will bring endless disasters to China.” The banners also called for “lifting the party ban, free party formation, free competition, free choice, and establishing a new China with freedom, humanity, and rule of law.”

The post also included two photos taken at the time of the incident, one showing a person holding a loudspeaker above the banner speaking to passersby, and another showing the banner being confiscated.

“YiFeng Su” expressed concern about the well-being of the activist and questioned what charges the CCP might have imposed on them.

On October 25th last year, shortly after the conclusion of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CCP, photos from the incident were circulated on an overseas platform, with netizens identifying the location as Taikoo Li in Sanlitun, Beijing.

Due to the CCP’s official censorship of information, the specific details of the situation remain unclear to the public.

Since Peng Li made headlines by hanging anti-Communist banners at Sito Bridge in Beijing before the 20th National Congress of the CCP in October 2022, public anti-Communist incidents have been continuously occurring in mainland China, with this being one of them.
