Keelung Mayor Xie Guoliang and New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Chen Chunjing accompanied Premier Chen Jianren on April 8 to inspect the feasibility assessment of extending the Wanda-Kinmen section of the Taiwan Provincial Highway 62. Premier Chen stated that providing the public with safe, comfortable, and convenient transportation is a governing objective, and the Ministry of Transportation is promoting the project to improve the congested bottleneck sections of Taiwan Provincial Highway 2 and enhance disaster relief and medical treatment efficiency.

The inspection focused on the extension of the Wanda-Kinmen section of Taiwan Provincial Highway 62, which is aimed at improving overall transportation infrastructure in the region. Premier Chen emphasized the importance of enhancing transportation networks to ensure smoother traffic flow and to support disaster response and medical services in the area. The project is part of the government’s efforts to address traffic congestion issues along Taiwan Provincial Highway 2 and to bolster emergency response capabilities in the region.
