In recent protests in Los Angeles against immigration enforcement by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), two groups accused of organizing and inciting riots have been exposed. One is a radical organization affiliated with the Democratic Party, while the other is the “Socialist Liberation Party” with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
According to a report from the New York Post on Monday (June 9), the “Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights” (CHIRLA), which received tens of millions of dollars in government funding during the Biden administration, organized a protest rally last week condemning ICE for arresting undocumented immigrants throughout the city, including those immigrants who have committed serious crimes.
Following this rally, anti-ICE protests have escalated, with over 1,000 rioters taking to the streets, as revealed by the Department of Homeland Security.
Financial records obtained by DataRepublican show that the “Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights” received nearly $34 million in government funding in the fiscal year ending in June 2023, primarily from California, a significant increase from the $12 million received the previous year.
A spokesperson for the “Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights” issued a statement to the New York Post on Sunday (May 8), denying any association of the organization with the violent events.
Another organization accused of driving the protests is the Marxist “Socialist Liberation Party” (PSL).
Previously, this organization was involved in intense anti-Israel campus protests at Columbia University and had connections to Elias Rodriguez, a gunman suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack in Washington, D.C.
In a report published in 2024 by the Network Contagion Research Institute of Rutgers University, it was revealed that through the funding of Neville Singham and his wife, the “Socialist Liberation Party” has connections with the Chinese Communist Party.
Evidence shows that supporters of far-left causes, billionaire Neville Singham, and his wife, Jodie Evans, the founder of the radical organization Code Pink, have close ties with the Chinese Communist Party.
In a lengthy report published by The New York Times in 2023, the connection between the Singham couple and the CCP was exposed, along with the funneling of millions of dollars in funds to non-profit organizations advocating for the CCP. Their funding network spans from South Africa, Ghana, Zambia to Brazil, New Delhi, and elsewhere around the world.
After selling his software company ThoughtWorks for $785 million in 2017, Singham invested significant funds in supporting these pro-CCP groups.
The “Socialist Liberation Party” has not immediately responded to comment requests from the New York Post issued on Sunday, as reported.
