New York City has recently opened applications for over 100 affordable rental units priced below $1,500 per month. These apartments are located in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn.
According to the announcement from NYC Housing Connect, these affordable units are spread across various newly constructed or renovated rental buildings, including Woodhaven Blvd. Apartments, The Andrea, 2425 Pacific Street Apartments, 313 East 17th Street Apartments, One Sunset Apartments, and Concern Logan.
Some of the apartments come with amenities such as a fitness center, rooftop terrace, high-end appliances, and pet-friendly policies.
As per the official guidelines from the city government, applying through NYC Housing Connect is free, but applicants must meet certain basic requirements. Applicants must reside in New York City, and each apartment unit specifies the “maximum number of household members/income limit” in the lottery announcement, which applicants must adhere to. If selected, applicants will need to provide proof of recent income, asset information, identification documents, etc. Priority may be given to individuals with disabilities, seniors, or local community residents in some lotteries.
