Trump’s self-exposure: Taking a plane without sleeping, morning prayer will make the audience laugh.

On Thursday, February 5th, President Trump attended the 74th annual National Prayer Breakfast held at the Hilton Hotel in Washington. In his speech, he not only reaffirmed the central role of faith in his second term, but also generously shared a habit of his while flying on Air Force One that might seem unattainable to many, eliciting laughter from the audience.

Reflecting on his friendship with the current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Daniel “Raizin” Caine, President Trump showcased his usual humor. He mentioned that during his first term, Caine had arranged a nap area for him on a 20-hour flight, but he promptly refused in order for both of them to discuss strategies for defeating ISIS throughout the night.

It is well-known that President Trump never sleeps on Air Force One. Joking at the National Prayer Breakfast, he said he has to keep an eye out for missiles.

“I don’t like sleeping on planes,” Trump quipped. “You know, I like to look out of the window, watch the missiles and our enemies, really.” This remark sparked loud laughter from the hundreds of bipartisan lawmakers and foreign diplomats in attendance.

He then teased Caine’s name, saying, “I asked him what kind of name is that? He said, ‘Sir, they all call me Raizin.'”

President Trump then shifted the focus to the “tough power” he has displayed in his second term. He praised Chairman Caine for his ruthless and efficient military tactics.

“He is tough, just ask Venezuela, just ask Iran. They are currently negotiating because they don’t want us to strike them,” he added. “There is a massive fleet heading towards Iran right now.”

Trump used this as a “victory lap,” emphasizing that under his leadership, the U.S. military successfully captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and precisely targeted Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Reflecting on how people used to mock the U.S. and its military two years ago, claiming they were taking advantage through tariffs, Trump said, “We have now collected billions of dollars in funds,” and the country has regained respect.

On the theme of faith, which was the highlight of the event, Trump’s words were even more impassioned. He specifically criticized politicians who are not willing to mention “God” and reiterated the ideals of the founding fathers.

“Many presidents and prominent politicians refuse to say the word ‘God.’ But I will say, we are endowed with sacred rights, not given by the government, but bestowed by Almighty God himself.”

In conclusion, Trump returned to his personal connection with God. He mentioned the assassination attempt in July 2024 that changed his destiny, stating that it was “God standing by his side” that allowed him to survive the moment the bullet strayed. He promised to make America a “nation of faith” once again and vowed to continue fighting for this cause.
