Actress Cyndi Wang’s Child Gets Insomnia from Earthquake Scare, Teacher’s Gesture Moves Her

In recent times, Taiwan’s east coast has been experiencing frequent earthquakes. On the night of April 22nd to early the next morning, over eighty earthquakes occurred, with the strongest being measured at a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter scale. Taipei felt the tremors, causing some buildings to shake. Many people were awakened in the middle of the night and were too frightened to go back to sleep.

One of the individuals affected by the earthquakes is celebrity Sui Tang. On the 24th, she shared on Facebook that her child couldn’t fall asleep after being scared awake by the tremors, leading to a restless night and a groggy morning the next day. However, a heartwarming gesture from a teacher at the school her child attended touched her deeply and garnered admiration from netizens.

As a mother of three children, Sui Tang wrote on Facebook on the 23rd that her children had been awake since 3 a.m. due to the tremors and couldn’t fall back asleep. Worried about their lack of sleep and resulting fatigue, she briefly considered letting them skip school the next day. However, due to the constraints of having almost reached the limit for taking days off from school after a recent trip with her children, she decided to send them to school instead.

Upon picking up her children after school, Sui Tang asked if they were tired from the day, to which they responded, “The teacher allowed classmates who felt sleepy to lie down freely and take a nap.” Sui Tang revealed that as a result, her 8-year-old son Max was able to “peacefully sleep for two class periods.”

Deeply impressed, Sui Tang praised the teachers for their human-centric approach, earning accolades from numerous netizens who commented with envy, praising the coolness of the teacher for allowing the children to lie down freely and nap. Some admiringly commented, “What a wonderful teacher, what a wonderful school.”

It’s worth noting that the issue of Sui Tang taking excessive days off for travel with her three children stems from her emphasis on education and companionship for children, which she attributes to having obtained a psychology degree from the University of Winnipeg in Canada.

After marrying her husband Tony in 2015, Sui Tang has had three children, 8-year-old son Max, 7-year-old daughter Lucy, and 5-year-old son Olie. Despite the disruption travel may bring to their routine at home, Sui Tang embraces it all with pleasure.

In an interview, Sui Tang described the joy of her children vying for her attention, saying, “Whether I’m holding something in my hands or busy, they would ask, ‘Mom, can I hold your pinky finger?'” She always finds joy in their happiness.

After each trip, where they experience new and heartfelt family activities, Sui Tang transforms the memories into poetic prose. Overflowing with maternal love, she once happily expressed to her children after a trip, “Travel illuminates your eyes and souls, and you light up my life.”
