US Immigration Agency Launches “Homeland Guardian” Recruitment Plan, Applications Break Record

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on November 6 that its agency, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), has received a record-breaking 35,000 job applications since the launch of the “Homeland Defenders” recruitment program on September 30. This marks the highest number of job applications ever received by the DHS.

According to USCIS, their social media promotional campaigns have been highly effective in attracting American citizens to join the program. The initiative aims to restore fairness to the U.S. immigration system following the border chaos caused by previous government policies.

The announcement stated that USCIS is actively streamlining bureaucratic processes and recruiting patriotic individuals who are loyal, dedicated, and believe in putting “America first.” These individuals will be stationed at the forefront of national security to defend against terrorists, criminal immigrants, and unlawful individuals attempting to infiltrate the country.

The job responsibilities include interviewing foreign nationals, reviewing applications, and identifying criminal or ineligible foreign individuals.

Quoting USCIS Director Joseph Edlow, the “Homeland Defenders” initiative has achieved tremendous success and resonated with the American public. Apart from the record-high number of applicants, the recruitment process is progressing rapidly.

Edlow emphasized that USCIS is prioritizing the implementation of President Trump’s policy objectives. Applicants are not just applying for a job but also to defend American values and protect the nation. He looks forward to welcoming more Homeland Defenders in the coming weeks.

Hundreds of job offers have been extended by USCIS, targeting the swift onboarding of the first batch of Homeland Defenders. The invitees include retired law enforcement officers and military personnel with experience in providing security services to communities and the nation.

Successful candidates may be eligible for signing bonuses of up to $50,000, student loan repayment plans, flexible work locations, and the option for remote work in some positions. Entry-level positions that do not require a college degree will have expedited recruitment processes.

To simplify the application process, USCIS will be providing on-the-spot job opportunities at recruitment events.
