Trump’s (Donald Trump) campaign team announced the latest fundraising figures on Wednesday, October 2nd, revealing that Trump’s campaign team and the Republican Party raised over $160 million in September, with a cash balance of $283 million at the end of September.
The fundraising amount in September for Trump increased by 23% compared to August’s $130 million. However, for the past two months, Trump’s campaign team has been spending more than they raised. With just over a month left until the election, October is a crucial period of high election costs. Candidates typically spend a significant amount of money on advertising, campaign events, and mobilizing voters to secure support and garner more votes in the final stages.
Currently, both Trump and Harris are heavily airing television ads in key swing states.
According to multiple polls, Trump and Harris are neck and neck in 7 swing states, with poll results falling within the margin of error. This year’s U.S. presidential election is one of the closest in recent memory, and the November 5th election is expected to be a fiercely competitive battle.
A poll by The New York Times/Siena College on September 28th showed that Trump and Harris are neck and neck in Michigan and Wisconsin, with Harris leading by only 1–2 percentage points. Trump holds a slight lead in Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Harris’s campaign team has not yet disclosed their fundraising income for September. In August, her campaign team and the Democratic Party raised $361 million.
