【Live】Williams opens hatch after docking with MS-28 spacecraft

On Thursday, November 27th, American astronaut Chris Williams, from NASA, was about to open the hatch after docking with the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft. New Tang Dynasty and Epoch Times were conducting live streaming with real-time Chinese subtitles translation.

The Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft, carrying American astronaut Chris Williams and two Russian cosmonauts, launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, successfully docked with the International Space Station. It is expected that the hatch will be opened around 10:10 am Eastern Time on the 27th.

Williams was selected as an astronaut candidate in 2021 and graduated as a member of the 23rd astronaut class in 2024. After completing the initial training for astronaut candidates, he immediately began training for his first mission to the space station.

During this mission, they will stay at the space station for eight months as members of Expedition 73 and 74. This will be Williams’ first mission to the space station.
