Cecilia Cheung Reveals Airport Checked Luggage Stolen, Causes Huge Loss and Insomnia.

In the early hours of July 17th, Hong Kong veteran singer Priscilla Chan took to Facebook to reveal that her checked luggage was stolen after she completed her check-in procedures at an airport in London, England during a recent trip. Among the missing items were luxury winter coats and new handbags, with the monetary loss far exceeding the cost of her round-trip plane ticket. She expressed her deep distress, stating that she was “heartbroken to the point of insomnia” and has since reported the incident to the authorities.

The 72-year-old Priscilla Chan had been traveling to the UK recently and was boarding a flight back to Hong Kong from London when the incident occurred. Known for her candid nature, she couldn’t resist sharing her frustration on Facebook on the 17th, writing in red and white: “After returning home and opening my luggage, everything valuable was stolen, you can’t help but disbelieve.”

Regarding the theft of her valuable belongings, Priscilla Chan interacted with netizens in the comments section, expressing how heartbroken she was to the point of losing sleep. She wrote, “I want to tell everyone to be extra cautious, as the loss exceeds 210,000 Hong Kong dollars, much more than the cost of a round-trip ticket. Isn’t it heart-wrenching?” When asked by a netizen about whether she had insurance, she replied, “In the future, I will install surveillance cameras inside my suitcase,” and mentioned that she had already filed a police report.

Priscilla Chan suspected that the theft occurred within the airport luggage conveyor system. She sought compensation from the airline, only to be informed that the company holds no responsibility for the loss of valuable items. Reacting to the airline’s stance, she expressed disbelief and wryly noted that those designer brands will have to be repurchased in Hong Kong.

This unfortunate incident has shed light on the challenges travelers may face regarding the security of their belongings, prompting a reminder for vigilance and caution while navigating through airports and handling luggage.
