According to statistics from the police department, the main cause of recent A1 accidents has been self-falling, with an increasing trend in accidents involving elderly individuals.

During the meeting, Mayor Huang strongly emphasized the need for continuous implementation of road safety improvements by each subcommittee. She also highlighted the importance of focusing on issues related to elderly drivers. The Mayor requested the supervision team to present a special report at the next Road Safety Committee meeting, aiming to enhance the traffic safety awareness of elderly individuals and correct their road habits and perceptions. Preventing accidents involving the elderly should start at the root to collectively maintain a safe traffic environment.
