Several months have passed since the mysterious death by falling in Beijing of the Chinese actor Yu Menglong. Recently, netizens dug up videos of him participating in New Year’s Eve galas. Remembering the lively and confident 37-year-old he once was, many fans couldn’t help but feel heartbroken, shedding tears over his memory.
Yu Menglong rose to fame for his roles in TV dramas such as “The Princess Wei Young” and “Eternal Love”. He tragically fell to his death from a building in Beijing on September 11, 2025. The police swiftly ruled his death as an “accidental alcohol poisoning” and dismissed any criminal suspicions. However, to this day, there have been ongoing suspicions surrounding the true cause of Yu Menglong’s death.
Despite the Chinese Communist Party’s efforts to suppress the truth, the related revelations not only touched upon the unwritten rules of the entertainment industry but also involved money laundering and arms trading by top CCP officials, revealing a severely distorted structure within China’s showbiz industry. As more dark secrets are uncovered, there are even clues pointing to potential connections with the CCP’s organ harvesting industry, which has shocked many.
In the recently resurfaced New Year’s Eve gala video shared by netizens on social media, Yu Menglong appeared with a brilliant smile, radiating confidence. Fans, after watching the old footage, couldn’t help but express their emotions, saying, “He was once so happy, now we can only see him in memories,” and “No matter how many times it’s replayed, we can’t bring him back,” and “He was so young, so full of life, watching it makes me cry.”
Yu Menglong had participated in multiple New Year’s Eve galas throughout his career. Although the exact number of appearances is not clear, he was known to have participated in galas during the “Happy Man Voice” era in 2013, between 2017 and 2020 after the success of dramas like “Eternal Love” and “The Legend of White Snake,” as well as in 2024. His New Year’s activities were often related to his popular film and music releases.
With the continuous sharing of the old footage, many fans have come together on social media to organize cross-border memorial events in remembrance of Yu Menglong. A post mentioned that up to now, over 740,000 people globally have participated in a petition campaign for “Justice for Yu Menglong”, urging relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive, independent, and transparent investigation into his death. In the past few months, large outdoor LED screens displaying silent imagery have appeared in various parts of China as a mourning gesture, silently protesting against the CCP authorities.
