Silver Health and Joy Gathering: Elderly from Four Major Centers Gather for Annual Celebration

On December 12, 2025, the SilverCare Senior Activity Center under the Everest Medical Care and Retirement Group held the “SilverCare Joyful Gathering” – an annual award ceremony and cultural performance at the Dinghua Center in Philadelphia’s Chinatown. Elderly residents from all four SilverCare centers gathered together to celebrate the year’s progress and achievements.

The event was hosted by four emcees – Qian Xin, He Yafeng, Zhang Zhen’an, and Lu Zhouyan, who referred to SilverCare as “our second home, where we find the most gentle smiles and warm companionship.”

Dr. Li Xiaobin, the Chairman of the Everest Medical Care and Retirement Group, expressed gratitude to everyone who works for and supports the group, thanking all SilverCare staff for their hard work over the past year. She specially thanked the elderly residents, saying, “Thank you to our seniors for giving us the opportunity to care for everyone and grow old together on this land. We also want to thank America for giving us this chance, for God’s favor upon us, and we hope everyone here can enjoy their senior years healthily and happily.”

Chairman Dr. Wang Guofang added, “Speaking of gratitude, we are very thankful for the trust that all the elderly residents here have placed in us.” He promised, “We will not let down your expectations and will continue to improve the activities at this center.”

Following the ceremony, the prestigious SilverCare Awards were presented to various senior centers and 68 outstanding seniors. The awards included categories such as the Evergreen Tree of SilverCare, Star of Attendance, Friendly Ambassador, Special Contribution Award, Versatile Talent Award, Star of Charm, Selfless Dedication Award, and more.

The 69th Street SilverCare Center was honored with the “Forever Sustainable Award.” Established in 2016, it was SilverCare’s first senior activity center. Manager Yu stated during the acceptance speech, “The bond between SilverCare staff and the elderly residents has transcended beyond a typical work relationship. This place feels like a second home where the elderly are treated like family, peers, and friends.”

The Philadelphia Airport SilverCare Center received the “Mutual Love and Respect Award.” Manager Fu described the center as a “warm place” where elderly individuals from different linguistic backgrounds embrace and care for each other, with Korean seniors even greeting in Chinese phrases like, “Today is good! Good morning! See you tomorrow!”

The Northeast Philadelphia SilverCare Center was honored with the “Excellence in Integration Award.” Manager Cai highlighted the unique features of the center where Chinese and Korean seniors engage in activities together daily, fostering a deep integration of cultures and teamwork among both Chinese and Korean staff. Since its establishment in 2023, the center has rapidly grown, offering 11 courses, 13 activities, and even traditional Chinese games like Mahjong, chess, and numerical Mahjong.

The 2077 Philadelphia SilverCare Center was awarded the “Vibrant Image Award.” Manager He expressed, “This award belongs to every staff member of 2077. You have proven that vitality is not limited to the young; you play table tennis and practice Tai Chi with more vigor than me every day.” She thanked everyone for their “happiness, inclusivity, and assistance.”

The event continued with vibrant cultural performances presented by the seniors from each center, including duet dances, Tai Chi fan routines, fashion shows, fan dances, Peking opera duets, ribbon dancing, choruses, and more.

Finally, staff and elderly residents from all centers sang “The SilverCare Anthem” together: “Beautiful SilverCare, the place where the elderly long to be.” “In SilverCare, the golden years of life are filled with sunshine.”

The Vice Chairman of the Everest Group stated that SilverCare has always been committed to the goals of medical care for the elderly, entertaining the elderly, and cultural support for the elderly. “We are willing to serve with dedication like your children, accompany you with care, and navigate your old age. Once again, sincere thanks to all the seniors supporting SilverCare, colleagues, and leaders who wholeheartedly contribute to SilverCare. Wishing everyone a happy holiday, good health, and joy every day!”

SilverCare Senior Activity Centers stand out from traditional senior centers by prioritizing a “medical care integrated, all-in-one service” approach from the beginning, striving to provide more comprehensive, continuous, and professional support for the elderly. At SilverCare, senior activity centers are closely linked with medical resources, nursing support, home services, and rehabilitation care systems. Here, the elderly can not only participate in a variety of daily activities, social interactions, and nutritious meals but also receive continuous health monitoring and necessary care support.

SilverCare has established four senior activity centers:
