Wu Xiubo faces new enforcement of 620 million debts, with a total debt of 750 million.

Breaking News:

In a recent update on the long-muted mainland Chinese actor Wu Xiubo, it was revealed that a new execution notice has been issued against him, with the target amount exceeding 62 million yuan (RMB), conducted by the Third Intermediate People’s Court of Beijing. As of now, the total amount executed against him has reached approximately 750 million yuan. According to the information from an app, among the 12 enterprises associated with Wu Xiubo, 5 are still in existence, while the rest have been deregistered or revoked, and his name has long been closely linked with terms like “default” and “high limit”.

In recent years, legal disputes have been ongoing among the production, distribution, and broadcasting companies involved in the TV series “Advisors Alliance,” in which Wu Xiubo starred. In November 2023, Wu Xiubo and his company, Holgos Bunyi Culture, holding a 99% stake, were forcibly executed for 466 million yuan, stirring up a hot discussion. On the evening of November 24, 2023, Wu Xiubo responded to the execution issue on Weibo, stating: “Working hard for the producers, but got deceived by two scammers with a load of false documents and contracts! It led to bankruptcy!”

At that time, Wu Xiubo publicly released two audio recordings on Weibo, accusing the other investment party of the TV series “Advisors Alliance,” Jiangsu Huali Cultural Media Co., of setting traps with false seals and fake contracts, resulting in massive losses for Bunyi Culture and personal bankruptcy for himself.

Currently, Wu Xiubo is entangled in a dispute over intellectual property rights with one of the producers of “Advisors Alliance,” Horgos Huali Cultural Media Co., which has led to him being restricted from high consumption and listed as a dishonest executor (“laolai”), with an involved amount of 216 million yuan.

Due to the long-term failure to fulfill the payment obligation determined by legal documents, Wu Xiubo’s assets have been successively sealed or entered into auction procedures. Public information shows that Wu Xiubo has not repaid any debts to date.

The 57-year-old Wu Xiubo, known for his roles in TV dramas such as “Before Dawn,” “The Orphan of Zhao,” and the “Advisors Alliance” series, as well as the hit movie “Finding Mr. Right,” once received numerous awards and was praised as a top-tier actor in the industry.

On January 18, 2019, Wu Xiubo was exposed by a young actress, Chen Xulin, who claimed to have had a seven-year romantic relationship with him. Subsequently, Wu Xiubo sued the woman for extortion and she was formally arrested. By late January 2021, Chen Yulin was sentenced to a three-year prison term with a three-year suspension and a fine of 100,000 yuan.

As a result of this scandal, Wu Xiubo’s image crumbled, leading to a halt in his acting career and the inability to release or broadcast several of his projects. He has been continuously boycotted, causing his primary source of income to suddenly dry up, which has severely limited his ability to repay his debts in the future.

From a renowned singer to a top-tier actor, Wu Xiubo has now become a dishonest executor, unable to even take flights or high-speed trains. According to Chinese media reports, people who have encountered him lately describe his hair as completely grey, visibly gaining weight, and lacking the elegance he once carried.
