Photo Gallery: Taipei 101 Joins Forces with Veterans Affairs Council to Present Four Seasons Forest Exhibition

Taipei 101 joins hands with the Ministry of National Defense Veterans Affairs Council (MOFA) to launch the year-long “Taipei 101 Cloud Seasonal Observatory Exhibition” on the 89th floor observatory of Taipei 101.

The MOFA of the Republic of China collaborates with Taipei Financial Corporation to launch the year-long “Taipei 101 Cloud Seasonal Observatory Exhibition” on the 89th floor observatory of Taipei 101 to showcase the unique charm and rich history of MOFA’s Fushoushan, Wuling, Cingjing, Cilan, and Mingchi Farm in a rotating seasonal format. The exhibition kicks off with the theme of Fushoushan Farm’s maple and apple season and cloud camping, with the opening ceremony hosted by MOFA’s Vice Chairman Fu Zhengcheng and Taipei Financial Corporation’s Chairman Jia Yongjie.

As an international landmark, the 89th floor observatory of Taipei 101 attracts over a million visitors from around the world annually. This collaboration integrates the unique features of the MOFA high mountain farms and forest recreation areas with the international influence of Taipei 101, further enhancing the brand awareness of MOFA farms.

MOFA stated that the exhibition aims to introduce more people to the charm of Taiwan’s high mountain tourism and the values of friendly agriculture, as well as to help MOFA strive towards the international stage.

Fu Zhengcheng stated: “Taipei 101 was built by the MOFA Veterans Company in 1999 and completed in March 2005 at a total cost of NT$40 billion (approximately $1.29 billion USD). The building’s height is 508 meters, making it the former tallest certified building in the world. Our veteran predecessors sacrificed and dedicated themselves without regrets, laying a solid foundation for Taiwan’s rapid economic development. With the spirit of ‘enduring hardships others dare not endure and doing things others dare not do,’ they created a historic achievement in Taiwan’s industrial transformation and won high praises from society.”

MOFA indicated that this collaboration symbolizes the innovative combination of tourism and agriculture, paving the way for the internationalization of MOFA farms. By transforming the past land reclamation history of veterans into modern agriculture and tourism, this exhibition will attract more international tourists to appreciate the beauty of Taiwan’s high mountain farms in all seasons and share the history and natural beauty with the world through Taipei 101.

During the exhibition, the 89th floor observatory of Taipei 101 features multiple sensory experience areas allowing visitors to experience the beauty of Fushoushan Farm’s four seasons through sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. The exhibition extends special thanks to Dengfeng Baiyue Lifestyle and Leisure Company for their strong support and sponsorship, allowing the perfect blend of Fushoushan maple and apple season with cloud camping theme to experience the beautiful integration of Taiwan’s high mountain tourism and agriculture at high altitudes.

Furthermore, MOFA mentioned that the observatory’s merchandise area will sell farm specialty products, enabling visitors to bring home the natural flavors of Taiwan and support the sustainable operation of MOFA farms. Future exhibitions featuring Wuling, Cingjing, Cilan, and Mingchi will be successively presented, so stay tuned for more exciting showcases.
