According to reports from Red Star News and other mainland Chinese media, at around 12:55 pm on December 2nd, a Volvo car caught fire on the streets of Luochuan County, Shaanxi Province, causing the liquefied natural gas in the trunk to ignite and explode. After extinguishing the flames, it was discovered that a person inside the car had already lost vital signs. This person was the owner of the vehicle.

At the time of the accident, residents in the vicinity also heard what sounded like an explosion, with a pungent smell filling the air. Numerous vehicle fragments were scattered around the road.

An eyewitness revealed that he was walking on the road at that time, and the sudden explosion made him instinctively turn around. He was greatly startled to see the fire rising rapidly, leaving no time for rational thinking, making everyone panic.
