On November 2, 2025, according to the Qingdao News Network, on the evening of November 1, there was an incident of uneven settlement in a multi-story residential building in a community in Danyang City, Jiangsu Province. This led to partial cracking of the building, causing panic among residents.
Jiangsu Danyang City officials reported on November 2 that around 23:00 on November 1, Building 38 in Taiyang Community, Yunyang Street, Danyang City, experienced uneven settlement, resulting in partial cracking of the building. After the incident, all residents of the building were evacuated.
According to the Yangzi Evening News on November 2, on the morning of the same day, readers alerted authorities about the dangerous situation at Building 38 in Taiyang Community, where some floors had sunk, leading to cracks in parts of the building.
From publicly available short videos, it can be seen that the building with settlement issues has a sloping roof. Large areas of the exterior walls on the side of the building have cracked or peeled off, revealing the internal structure, indicating significant damage.
In another video shared by netizens, sounds of collapse and shattering can be clearly heard from inside the house.
