【Epoch Times News, December 8, 2025】On the evening of December 6th, the fourth New Century Christmas Market and Winter Wonderland event organized by New Century Company conveyed the spirit of the holiday season with the theme of “Giving and Generosity” to the community.

The New Century Square covered in white snow was particularly beautiful with bright decorations. Children ran and played around the Christmas tree, their laughter ringing like silver bells. Adults held steaming hot cocoa to warm themselves, the rich scent of food filling the cold night air. Indoors, the sound of students singing could be heard – accompanied by Santa Claus on guitar, they sang Christmas carols, spreading the melodies of peace and joy through speakers to the outdoors, adding a festive atmosphere to the entire square.

The “Tunnel of Light” was one of the most popular attractions at this year’s Christmas event. Will Perez and Sophia Perez walked through the “Tunnel of Light” with their two young children and were very happy about it.

Perez said, “The lights there are beautiful, and when you take photos, it looks especially nice with the lights as the background.” He also added, “I also love the snow there.”

Describing the feeling of walking inside, Perez said, “It’s like walking into a Christmas wonderland.”

Despite the cold weather at night, Perez felt that “the tunnel inside was really warm and comfortable.”

Sophia also praised the event, saying, “It’s really great”, and “It truly makes you feel the Christmas atmosphere.”

James White, the organizer of the event, said, “This year, we received a lot of support from local businesses, and we had wonderful volunteers, vendors, and performers joining us. It’s really heartwarming to see the whole community coming out to support us.”

He introduced that this year, Northern Academy students were specially invited to participate in the lighting design, including a beautiful Nativity scene, Santa Claus and reindeer, and a 60-foot Tunnel of Light.

White stated, “We hope everyone can enjoy the holiday atmosphere and through the event, we express our blessings for this wonderful holiday – the true spirit of the holiday is about giving and generosity.”

He revealed that many businesses have said this is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and community residents are increasingly participating each year.

Another highlight of the event is that it brings people from different backgrounds together to connect.

Deputy Sheriff Michael Gordon of Deer Park Town said, “The holiday spirit has transcended religious boundaries. Even if you are not Christian, everyone can identify with the core values that Christmas brings.”

In his view, such activities are not just celebrations, but also an opportunity for people to remember what they truly desire – peace, happiness, success, family.

“At Christmas, most adults at some point will feel like children again. Seeing the decorations, hearing the music, I feel like I’m back in those simple and carefree times of my life.”

He also praised New Century as one of the “best neighbors” in the area, continuously bringing the community together through various activities.

Prosecutor Dave Hoovler of Orange County was also present that day and personally lit two Christmas trees. He exclaimed, “This place is amazing! The decorations are beautiful, there are a lot of people, and the atmosphere is great.”

He emphasized that the meaning of the holiday season is to step out of the house, gather with family and friends, and peacefully spend this season. “I hope this event can continue for a long time.”

Located in New York State, New Century Company will once again open the Christmas Market and Winter Wonderland to the public on December 13th (Saturday), with free admission and parking. Address: 517 Neversink Drive, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
