News: Trump pledges to lift all restrictions on the fossil fuel industry.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Republican presidential candidate Trump (Donald Trump) promised at a fundraising event to abolish a series of fossil fuel industry restrictions imposed by the Biden administration.

Reported by The Washington Post on Thursday (May 9th), the unnamed source stated that Trump made the promise to top executives of American oil companies during a fundraising event at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. He pledged that once elected, he would overturn dozens of relevant regulations and policies of the Biden administration, including ending the freeze on new liquefied natural gas export permits and promoting policies related to electric vehicles.

Based on the list of attendees obtained by the Post, approximately twenty high-level executives were invited, including Michael Sabel, the CEO and founder of U.S. liquefied natural gas supplier Venture Global LNG, Jack Fusco, the CEO of Cheniere Energy, a U.S. liquefied natural gas exporter, as well as representatives from oil giants Chevron, Continental Resources, ExxonMobil, and Occidental Petroleum.

The report mentioned that Trump also sought help from the oil industry to assist in formulating his second-term environmental agenda, including revoking some of Biden’s landmark policies in clean energy and electric vehicles.

The Biden administration has labeled global warming as an “existential threat” and has enacted several new environmental regulations during his term aimed at reducing air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, restricting toxic chemicals, and protecting public lands and waters. This has been a key point in his reelection campaign.

In contrast, Trump has referred to climate change as a “hoax.” According to reports, his government weakened or rescinded over 125 environmental regulations and policies within four years.

The Post reported that during this fundraising event, Trump also stated that if elected, he would auction more leases for oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and lift restrictions on drilling in the Arctic region of Alaska.

In July of last year, American conservatives released a detailed 2025 policy blueprint called the “2025 Presidential Transition Project,” aimed at completely overturning the left’s energy and climate agenda.
