Music Producer Shot Outside Los Angeles Mansion by Security Guard

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is currently investigating a shooting incident involving a security guard outside the mansion of a music executive.

According to FOX11, the music executive has been identified as Amir Esmailian, co-founder of the record label XO Records, known by his stage name Cash XO or Cash. Esmailian, of Iranian descent, co-founded XO Records with Grammy Award-winning artist The Weeknd. He serves as the talent manager and record producer for the company, as well as The Weeknd’s co-manager.

In the early hours of Monday, around 2:25 a.m., a shooting took place outside Esmailian’s multi-million dollar mansion in Encino, located on the 17500 block of Jayden Street in the affluent neighborhood of Encino in the San Fernando Valley.

Police reported that around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, they received multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots near the 101 Freeway and White Oak Avenue. One of the reports came from the injured security guard, who stated that he had been shot and described the suspects as three men wearing hats and surgical masks.

Investigators mentioned that a 37-year-old security guard was shot multiple times while he was inside the property’s guard shack. Esmailian was not at home at the time of the shooting. It is currently unclear whether the suspects gained entry into the residence.

The three suspects involved in the shooting fled the scene before the authorities arrived.

Upon the arrival of emergency personnel, the injured security guard was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition. However, authorities provided an update around 7 a.m. on Monday, stating that the guard had been taken into surgery and was expected to survive.

The security guard is believed to have been employed by Esmailian. Investigators mentioned that there were at least four individuals inside the residence at the time of the shooting.

Esmailian’s hip-hop music production has topped the Billboard charts several times. His mansion, currently listed for sale at $12 million, features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and is equipped with state-of-the-art security systems, according to Zillow.
