Market Transforms into Cockpit in Seconds, China Airlines Helps Passengers Immerse in Asian-Style Experience

China Airlines actively expands its market in North America. Recently, it not only launched a new route from Phoenix to Taipei in the western United States but also deepened its cooperation with Southwest Airlines. In addition to these efforts, they introduced an immersive cabin flash event at the popular weekend market, Smorgasburg L.A., in Los Angeles, showcasing their brand’s innovative strategy and service highlights to further strengthen their market influence on the west coast of the United States.

China Airlines held brand experience events on November 30 and December 7 at Smorgasburg L.A. in Los Angeles. At the event, the airline recreated the image of aircraft cabin doors and set up a customized boarding process, allowing visitors to feel as if they were boarding a virtual flight to Asia.

Visitors could choose their dream Asian destination at the “boarding gate,” take a photo, receive an exclusive boarding pass, and then enter the simulated cabin created by China Airlines to experience their cabin service features firsthand. Various interactive experiences and exquisite giveaways were planned onsite, with visitors even having the chance to win round-trip tickets to Asia, attracting a large number of local travelers and families.

With the core concept of “quality starts from the heart,” China Airlines continues to enhance the passenger cabin experience. Its three major aircraft models, the 777, A350, and A321neo, now offer onboard Wi-Fi, providing unlimited web browsing or instant messaging to realize uninterrupted digital life in the air.

In terms of onboard dining, China Airlines has long collaborated with Michelin-starred restaurants, offering seasonal joint private menus and designing local specialty dishes for each route. Beverage options include popular drinks such as Brown Sugar Boba Tea, Passion Fruit Sparkling Beverage, SUNMAI Three Malt Beer, and special collaborative cocktails from BLAHBLAHBar, receiving high praise from international passengers.

Recently, China Airlines collaborated with the bubble tea brand “Wu Tong Hao” and the classic American character Care Bears™ to launch cute and sweet desserts and drinks, supplied simultaneously on all routes departing from Taiwan, creating a unique healing journey at high altitude.

China Airlines’ Phoenix to Taipei route officially launched on December 3, operating between the two cities on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, providing passengers with a convenient non-stop option. Phoenix not only serves as a new stronghold for China Airlines in the western U.S. market but also an important North American inland hub for connections.

Through codeshare cooperation with Southwest Airlines, passengers can fly from many U.S. cities (such as Denver, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Chicago, etc.) with a single ticket directly to Taipei, with luggage checked through to Taipei and then connecting to major cities across Asia, significantly enhancing travel convenience between North America and Asia.

The official cooperation between China Airlines and Southwest Airlines is set to begin in January 2026. By then, passengers will be able to depart from major cities across the U.S. with a single ticket and checked luggage through Taipei to transfer to flights to major cities in Asia, further strengthening China Airlines’ competitiveness in the Western U.S. and across North America.
