Israeli Attacks Russian Military Base, Ukraine Drone Attacks Russia

Hello everyone, welcome to “Current Events Scan”. I’m Jin Ran. Please subscribe to our channel, support us, like, comment, and share.

Today’s focus: Israeli missiles strike Russian military base, Ukrainian drones launch major assault on Russian mainland; Israel issues assassination order against Iranian leader, astonishing scene captured by British civilian aircraft; Ukrainian-produced ballistic missile successful, UN Secretary-General facing sanctions.

If two days ago Iran’s missile attack on Israel heralded the start of a true Middle East war, then Israel’s airstrikes on the Russian airbase in Syria, while also continuing to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon, have brought the danger of a world war seemingly closer.

Just as people were expecting retaliation from Israel against Iran following Iran’s missile strike on Israel, Israeli actions once again shocked the world.

On the night of October 2nd, Israel launched strikes on multiple military targets in Syria, with the highlight being the firing of about 30 missiles by Israel hitting the Russian airbase in Syria – also the largest military base and arsenal in the Middle East, Hmeimim Airbase.

Look at this map, Israel is here, across the north of Lebanon, here is Syria, and the Russian base attacked by missiles is here. This photo is a reference image of this airbase. Faced with Israel’s long-range strikes, both Russian and Syrian air defense systems did not function.

One immediate question that may come to mind is: why would Israel provoke Russia directly at this time? The reality is that Israel had its reasons. Israel had intel that this Russian base in Syria was being used to receive Iranian weapons, which were then being transferred to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Simply put, Russia thought Israel would not dare to directly attack my overseas bases, but just like they underestimated Ukraine, they also underestimated Israel’s courage and determination.

Israel’s timing in bombing the Russian base in Syria coincided with a large shipment of weapons and ammunition being delivered by Iranian military planes to aid Hezbollah. About 30 Israeli missiles swooped in, causing consecutive explosions and fires at the Russian base for hours. Thus, as seen in the video footage below, after the Russian base was bombed, a large amount of rockets and ammunition were lit up, continually exploding and shooting into the air.

To further prove that the Russian military was behind Hezbollah and Iran, Israel also simultaneously announced a significant capture of a large quantity of Russian-made weapons from Hezbollah.

Just before Israel bombed the Russian military base, Russia officially announced: demanding Israel must immediately withdraw from Lebanon! Some netizens immediately questioned: then why doesn’t Russia immediately withdraw from Ukraine? Honestly, if countries were willing to talk logic, reason, and bottom lines, there might not be conflicts and wars at all. What do you think?

Following Israel’s bombing, Russia has ordered: Russian citizens must leave Israel immediately. It is understood that approximately 1.5 million Russians live in Israel. Does this evacuation order suggest that the previously unrelated conflicts in the Middle East and between Russia and Ukraine are now merging? If Iran joins in, does humanity truly have to face the prospect of a third world war?

In the previous episode, I mentioned Iran’s approximately 400 missile attacks on Israel, with some viewers pointing out it should be around 180 missiles. The situation was that Iran launched its missiles without notifying me, and it was only after I had finished filming the previous episode that I found out. The program was already in the late stages of production, and the segment on the Iranian missile attack was added last minute, and some attentive viewers might notice that I did not appear in that segment. I hastily quoted the figure of 400 missiles from an Israeli media outlet. Additionally, because most of the missiles launched by Iran this time were ballistic missiles, Israel mainly used its “Arrow” anti-missile system to intercept the missiles in outer space, rather than the “Iron Dome” defense system I mentioned last time. I would like to thank viewers for their corrections.

The latest news reveals that an Iranian opposition leader disclosed that Iran’s missile attack on Israel actually hit two Iranian cities, indirectly confirming the Western media reports of numerous Iranian missiles crashing before reaching Israel. Another rarely seen video illustrates Iran’s regime completely disregarding international civil aviation safety when, on October 1st, Iran launched a missile attack domestically while a British civilian plane happened to be flying at high altitude nearby, prompting the pilot to urgently change course.

Following Iran’s widespread missile attack on Israel, Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei posted an image on social media, seemingly indicating that Iran would have more missiles to target Israel in the future. However, it is highly likely that his orders to use these missiles will soon diminish. The Speaker of the Israeli Knesset sent a polite letter to Khamenei, stating: “You are the root of all the problems in our region. But don’t worry, it won’t last long.” He also conveyed a message to Khamenei in Persian: “Greetings to your doomsday.”

Israel’s Mossad, currently the most ruthless intelligence agency in the world, had a more subtle response. After Iran’s missile attack, Mossad remained silent on Twitter; instead, they released a video highlighting Iran’s largest power plant construction achievements, sending a chilling message.

As the world eagerly awaited Israel’s response to Iran’s large-scale missile attack, no one expected the United Nations Secretary-General to become a target first.

On October 2nd, the Israeli government announced that UN Secretary-General Guterres was deemed an “unwelcome person,” and banned him from entering Israel. Israeli Foreign Minister Katz accused Guterres of “supporting Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthi militia, and Iran, the backstage of global terrorist activities,” stating he would be “recorded as a stain in the UN’s history.”

Israel’s anger was fueled by the fact that Guterres immediately condemned Israel when Israeli forces entered Lebanon, but when Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel, he merely called for all sides to exercise restraint, not even mentioning Iran by name.

However, it wasn’t just the UN Secretary-General who found himself in hot water; China’s Ambassador to the UN, Fu Cong, stepped in to express firm support for the UN Secretary-General’s work and to oppose Israel’s accusations against Guterres. Ironically, Western media reports revealed that one of the top contenders for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize to be announced on October 11th includes UNRWA and UN Secretary-General Guterres.

After Iran’s extensive missile barrage on Israel, Israel did not halt its “all-out assault” strategy. Israeli forces finally released a video showcasing soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces’ 36th Division carrying out night-time operations on Lebanese soil, eradicating Hezbollah fighters at different locations.

In addition to continuing to eradicate Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon, Israel’s targeted killings also continued. On October 2nd, Israel assassinated Hassan Nasrallah’s son-in-law Kazir in the Lebanese capital Beirut; with Iran stepping to the forefront, Israel intensified its assaults on Iranian forces. On the same day, Israel decapitated three senior commanders of Iran’s Quds Force in the Syrian capital Damascus; on October 3rd, Israel announced that its military operations in Gaza “eliminated” Hamas government leader Mushtaha and two other senior Hamas figures.

Externally, it is evident that Israel’s pinpoint strikes in different countries can only be considered minor skirmishes at this point; the real showdown in the Middle East would be Israel’s next move against Iran.

Simultaneously with Israel’s bombing of the Russian military base in Syria, it was as if Ukraine and Israel had coordinated. On the night of October 2nd, Ukraine once again launched a large-scale attack on Russian territory, with 250 Ukrainian attack drones assaulting multiple regions in Russia. Video footage showed strikes on the aircraft hangars, SU-35 and SU-34 fighter jet runways at a military airport in the Volgograd region, followed by raging fires.

In a recent public speech, Zelensky announced that Ukraine’s drone production capacity had reached four million per year. The ammunition production in the first half of this year was 25 times that of the entire year of 2022! What does four million drones mean? It means producing over 10,000 drones per day. If the Russian army could not capture Ukraine two years ago at its peak morale, how will they handle the now even stronger Ukrainian armed forces?

Perhaps what concerns the Russian leadership even more is another piece of news: on October 1st, Zelensky announced that Ukraine successfully test-fired a new domestically produced ballistic missile. While not disclosing details, the successful test firing of domestically produced ballistic missiles means that Ukraine will soon be able to reach all major Russian cities, including Moscow, without Western long-range missiles.

Also at this time, on October 3rd, NATO’s newly appointed Secretary-General, Mark Lytt, arrived in Kyiv; this was his first official visit since taking office. Lytt personally promised Zelensky that NATO firmly supports Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression and will help accelerate Ukraine’s integration into NATO.

Of great interest to the public is Lytt’s repeated statement: that China has become the “decisive propeller” of Russia’s aggressive war on Ukraine and should bear the consequences for supporting Russia.
