Details Revealed of Archer Injuring Incident in Shandong Area

On the evening of August 11th, a member of the “Linyi Flash Cycling Group” uploaded a chat record claiming that a bow and arrow attack occurred in Lizhuang Town, Tancheng County, Linyi City, Shandong Province, causing injuries to at least two people. The incident quickly drew attention.

Video footage from the scene shows that at least two individuals were shot in the waist and back with arrows and are being treated in the hospital. According to witnesses, someone with a bow and arrow was lurking at the staircase between the first and second floors, targeting anyone who went upstairs. By the time the police arrived, some individuals had already been shot and were hospitalized for treatment. The injured victims were found with arrows still lodged in their bodies.

According to reports from mainland Chinese media, the incident took place near the Lizhuang Police Station. A video showed a white police car with multiple arrows stuck on it, even piercing through the metal doors. The video also captured the continuous sound of arrows being shot, indicating that the perpetrator had not stopped the attack.

On the morning of August 12th, a journalist from a mainland media outlet called the Lizhuang Town government for information. A staff member confirmed that the individuals involved had been arrested. However, when asked about the number of injuries, the staff member claimed to be uncertain and declined to disclose which hospital the injured had been taken to.

The Tancheng County Public Security Bureau responded by confirming that the incident resulted in injuries to two individuals and that the suspect had been apprehended.

The incident has sparked discussions online, with netizens expressing shock and concern. Comments from the public included: “This is too terrifying.” “This happened in my hometown, Tancheng County. What’s going on?” “Where did the problem arise?” “Who did the shooting without any explanation?” “It’s probably someone influential; they wouldn’t dare to arrest them!” Some also pointed out, “The key issue is that bows and arrows are being sold online without regulation.”
