On November 6, 2025, in Wuhan, Hubei Province, a couple born on the same day of the same month welcomed their daughter on their shared birthday recently, creating a rare and delightful coincidence that amazed the maternity ward nurses.
According to reports from mainland China’s “Extreme Vision News” and “Changjiang Daily,” Ms. Xiong and Mr. Wang met online in November 2023 and were pleasantly surprised to discover that they shared the same birthday. “In the vast sea of people, it is truly rare to meet someone who shares the exact same birthday,” said Mr. Wang.
This special connection quickly brought the two closer, and they got married in 2024.
In January of this year, Ms. Xiong became pregnant. On October 30, their 28th birthday, with Ms. Xiong at 38 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy, her family took her to the Nanjing Road branch of Wuhan Central Hospital for maternity care.
During the delivery process, the midwife noticed that the baby was in the breech position, which is not conducive to natural delivery. However, after manually adjusting the baby’s position, Ms. Xiong successfully gave birth to a baby girl weighing 7 pounds.
As a new mother, Ms. Xiong happily exclaimed, “It’s truly amazing! I never expected our baby to arrive on this day!” Mr. Wang was also excited, saying, “It’s so miraculous that our baby shares the same birthday as both of us! This is our most precious birthday gift!”
The remarkable coincidence also left the hospital staff astonished. The head nurse of the maternity ward said, “A family of three sharing the same birthday is a first for me in all my years working in obstetrics.”
To commemorate this special day, the maternity ward staff prepared a cake, toys, and sang a birthday song to celebrate.
On November 3, Ms. Xiong, her husband, and their baby were discharged from the hospital, happily starting their new journey as a family.
