Kelly Ho will be interviewed by Fox News for the first time.

Vice President Kamala Harris is set to be interviewed by Fox News anchor Bret Baier in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 16th. As the presidential campaign enters its final stages, she is ramping up her media engagements and dialogues.

This will be her first interview with Fox News and the first time since becoming the Democratic nominee that she will engage with news media outside of her ideological comfort zone.

Baier is the chief political anchor at Fox News and one of the few prominent figures on the network not closely associated with conservative commentary.

Harris has previously been interviewed by CNN, CBS’ “60 Minutes,” ABC’s “The View,” and Howard Stern’s radio show in a friendly setting.

Most of these interviews have taken place in the past two weeks, signaling a shift from her initial campaign strategy of minimal media interaction.

The Fox News interview is scheduled to air at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, October 16th.

After facing criticism for avoiding interviews early in the campaign, Harris is now trying to turn the tables on Republican candidate Donald Trump. On Sunday, October 13th, in Greenville, North Carolina, Harris criticized him for refusing to release his medical records and for declining the “60 Minutes” interview.

She questioned, “It begs the question, why his team is trying to hide him? People are left to wonder: Are they afraid that people will see him as too weak, too unstable to lead this country? Is that the truth?”

Steven Cheung, the communications director for the Trump campaign, released a statement on Saturday, October 12th, stating: “President Trump has voluntarily released his latest health report, as well as a detailed health report written by his attending physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, following the first assassination attempt. All reports confirm his excellent health, fully capable of leading a nation. His campaign schedule has been incredibly hectic and relentless, unprecedented in political history.”

Cheung attached three links in the statement, including transcripts of two letters from Dr. Jackson and one from Trump’s personal physician, all affirming Trump’s “excellent” overall health condition.
