On Thursday, March 26, the three major indexes of the A-share market in China collectively fell. All three indexes dropped by over 1%, with 4,493 stocks on the market trading in the red.
By the close of trading, the Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,889.08 points, down by 1.09%; the Shenzhen Component Index closed at 13,606.44 points, a decrease of 1.41%; and the ChiNext Index closed at 3,272.49 points, reflecting a 1.34% decline. The CSI 50 Index also experienced a drop of 1.57%.
The total turnover on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges was approximately 1.9436 trillion yuan, a decrease of about 236.214 billion yuan compared to the previous trading day. Out of the 4,493 stocks in the market, all traded lower, with 13 stocks hitting their downward limit.
In terms of sectors, industries such as insurance, MLED, VPN, electrical equipment, precious metals, diversified finance, and related concepts saw significant declines.
