Bounty of $10 Million Offered for Gathering Information on Iran’s Supreme Leader and Others

On Friday, March 13, the US State Department’s “Rewards for Justice program” announced a $10 million reward for information on top Iranian officials, including the newly appointed Supreme Leader Mojtaba (son of former leader Khamenei).

A wanted poster issued by the State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security listed several high-ranking officials and individuals associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Apart from Mojtaba, it includes Khamenei’s deputy chief of staff Ali Asghar Hejazi and senior security official Ali Larijani.

Other individuals on the list include: the Supreme Leader’s senior military advisor Yahya Rahim Safavi, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, and Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib.

The wanted poster also mentioned four other positions without listing names, namely: Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Director of the Supreme Leader’s Military Office, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and Advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran.

According to the US State Department, these individuals are key leaders of various departments within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), responsible for commanding and leading these departments and planning, organizing, and carrying out operations on a global scale.

The “Rewards for Justice program” stated that individuals with information on these individuals or high-ranking commanders of the IRGC and their related networks can contact the program through encrypted communication platforms or communication channels based on the Tor network.

The State Department noted that individuals providing eligible information could receive rewards of up to $10 million.
