ICE solicits tips to capture two Minnesota illegal immigrant sex offenders

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the United States issued a public announcement on Tuesday (January 20), calling on the public to provide clues to assist the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in apprehending two illegal immigrant sex offenders seeking asylum in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The announcement detailed information on the two suspects and included their photos.

Kongmeng Vang from Laos, wanted for sexual assault, involvement in gang activities, and assault, was ordered for final deportation by an immigration judge in 2016.
Illegal immigrant Lue Moua, also from Laos, was wanted for alleged offenses including sexually assaulting minors, rape, kidnapping, and domestic violence. An immigration judge issued a final deportation order against him in 2012.

The announcement urged the public to provide any information that could help in capturing these “heinous” sex offenders. Any leads or eyewitness reports can be directed to 1-866-DHS-2-ICE or visited on the website www.ice.gov for reporting.

Spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin from the Department of Homeland Security stated in the announcement, “These two violent illegal immigrant sex offenders are currently at large in Saint Paul. These are the types of illegal immigrant criminals that ICE is targeting in Minnesota.”

She also issued a warning to all criminal illegal immigrants, saying, “If you enter illegally and violate our laws, we will find you, and you will never be able to return (to the U.S.).”

The announcement also called on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to cease releasing illegal immigrant criminals from Minnesota prisons to prevent them from committing crimes again and continuing to intimidate innocent American citizens.

On Sunday, a video circulated on social media showing protesters disrupting an ICE agent trying to arrest a suspected child sex offender in Minnesota. The agent told the protesters, “We are here to arrest a child sex offender, to protect you, and you are protecting this kind of person, blowing horns here to disrupt us investigating.” (See “ICE Agent Condemns Minnesota Agitators for Disrupting Law Enforcement – Video Viral”).

On Tuesday, during his first-year anniversary press conference at the White House, President Trump once again emphasized the need for immigration enforcement targeting criminals. He displayed several mugshots of foreign criminals arrested in Minnesota, stating, “Our focus is on murderers, drug dealers, and offenders.”

Earlier on Tuesday, the President expressed dissatisfaction with his team’s publicity strategy, urging the Department of Homeland Security and ICE to “immediately release the numbers, names, and photos of violent criminals.”

“I have been telling my team, but they have been occupied with other things and have not been able to do what they should,” the President told reporters at the White House, “I said, ‘Why aren’t you talking more about this?’ Because people don’t understand the situation.”
