Since its establishment, World Chinese-Focused has set up 95 chapters globally and is an outstanding international organization for Chinese business women. The Southern California chapter has been hosting the Golden Crown Awards every two years since 2006 to recognize outstanding Chinese women in business, professional fields, and community service, encouraging women to exert influence and strive for higher achievements. Those of Chinese descent who are founders, operators, or professional managers in enterprises and have made significant contributions to both business and public welfare are eligible to participate in the selection. Winners of the Golden Crown Award qualify to compete for the “Chinese Crown Award” at the World Chinese-Focused General Assembly.

President Meng Xinyin of the Southern California Chapter of World Chinese-Focused stated that 2026 is an important year for the chapter to carry forward its past achievements. Building on the solid foundation laid by previous presidents, the chapter will continue to deepen mutual support among women and societal influence. She introduced the chapter’s theme for the year as “Hearts Gather, Rhymes Move Together,” with a core spirit of “Service, Connection, Empowerment,” aiming to consolidate sisterly strength in steady actions towards a long-term and influential future.

First Vice President Chen Linghua of the World Chinese-Focused General Assembly mentioned that the Southern California chapter has been outstanding in organizational energy, member cohesion, and participation in public welfare, making it one of the important benchmark chapters of World Chinese-Focused. The press conference introduced the annual team and activity plans by the new president, symbolizing the formal launch of the new year’s affairs.

She also announced the start of the 9th Golden Crown Award selection, emphasizing that the award not only recognizes the professional achievements of female entrepreneurs but also encourages Chinese women to dare to break through and showcase their international influence to the world.

Director Zhong Peizhen of the Los Angeles Overseas Chinese Education Center also delivered a speech at the event. She expressed that the Southern California chapter of World Chinese-Focused has long brought together the power of women, supporting the “half of the sky” in the Los Angeles overseas Chinese community, fully demonstrating the contributions of women in society.

She also mentioned the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and the recent opening of priority ticket registration for local residents. She urged overseas Chinese to register early, as there will be opportunities to personally cheer for Taiwanese athletes at the event. The Overseas Chinese Education Center will continue to share the latest information with the overseas Chinese community.
