Trump Meets Energy Giants, “Happy Trump” Brooch Steals the Spotlight

On Friday, January 9th, President Trump met with energy industry executives at the White House. During the meeting, he wore a suit with an added accessory that caught media attention – a “Happy Trump” cartoon badge pinned to his lapel. Trump jokingly mentioned that he has never been happy until he makes America great again, feeling satisfied and joyful only then.

The “Happy Trump” badge was placed just below a miniature American flag pin on Trump’s suit lapel. With a cartoon image of Trump featuring a disproportionate large head and an exaggerated expression, the badge showcased a playful side of the president.

During the meeting in the East Room of the White House, Trump discussed investment in the Venezuelan oil industry with executives from petroleum companies.

Grabbing his lapel, Trump pointed to the badge, saying, “I have never been happy, never satisfied until we make America great again. But we are getting pretty close, and this is ‘Happy Trump’.”

Trump’s light-hearted remarks quickly gained traction on social media platforms. Users on X platform praised the humor of the badge and the president’s playful attitude.

“This president is so funny,” one user wrote, accompanied by a laughing-crying emoji.

“Who wouldn’t like him?” another user commented, adding heart and American flag symbols.

“Where can I get a ‘Happy Trump’ badge?” a user inquired.

“I need a ‘Happy Trump’ badge too,” another user expressed.

“I got one today! It’s too cute!!” shared one user enthusiastically.

“Only our great President Trump would do this! Wearing the ‘Happy Trump’ badge, he says he will only be happy when America becomes great again… but we are getting close to the goal! So funny!” remarked another user.

According to the Associated Press, Trump has previously been seen wearing the same badge at least once in a public event. It was during the inauguration ceremony for National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard last year in February, but the president did not comment on it at that time.

Since the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001, U.S. presidents have typically worn American flag lapel pins on their clothing as a symbol of national unity and remembrance.
