At the beginning of the year 2026, the United States’ arrest operation against Venezuelan President Maduro and the drastic changes in the situation in Iran have sparked high international attention, inspiring the Chinese people as well. Some are advocating for a nationwide petition to hasten the collapse of the Chinese Communist Party’s tyranny.
Chinese dissident Wang Jie expressed to Epoch Times that the recent upheavals in authoritarian countries like Iran and Venezuela serve as a significant blow to regimes that have long imposed oppressive rule, such as the CCP and North Korea.
“I was very excited to see these two pieces of news. I never expected that under the dictatorships in Iran and Venezuela, the people would step ahead of the Chinese people in overturning tyranny. But this undoubtedly provides great encouragement and inspiration to the Chinese people.”
She believes that even the most brutal regimes are paper tigers that cannot withstand the resistance and uprising of the people. She calls on the Chinese people to unite and put an end to the CCP’s tyranny as soon as possible.
“Chinese people are not afraid of hardship, but they fear a lack of hope the most. I suggest that overseas Chinese groups and individuals who have been persecuted by the CCP take the lead in initiating the dissolution of the CCP through signatures. Collective signing is a form of silent resistance and strength. The change of regime in China is only a matter of time.”
Mainland observer Wei Ming stated that the living conditions of the Chinese people are extremely difficult, with no way out. When pushed to the brink, they can only rise up in rebellion. “Serious social problems that are not effectively addressed will only worsen. Eventually, just like in Iran and Venezuela, a larger rebellion will inevitably erupt. The oppressed people will not tolerate it for long.”
He pointed out that overthrowing the CCP’s tyranny ultimately relies on the power of the Chinese people themselves, on their awakening, and their struggle. The downfall of the Communist Party is only a matter of time. “External forces play a role in changing the situation, but the crucial element is for the Chinese people to realize their rights and the direction of their struggle.”
Wei Ming expressed his elation upon hearing the news of the upheavals in Iran and Venezuela, emphasizing that humanity’s pursuit of democracy and freedom is irresistible. “Demanding democracy and striving for a more free and democratic society is inevitable; we all have to walk this path. It’s a common human desire for social progress, for a better society.”
Mainland resident Zhou Mei stated, “Upon hearing the news from Venezuela, we all hope for early liberation in China. The Communist Party’s unjust practices will lead to its own demise, earning the wrath of both heaven and people. With the economy in recession and people struggling to make ends meet, there is no support for it.”
She hopes that the Chinese people will unite and overthrow the CCP’s tyranny at an early date, leading to a life of freedom and democracy.
