Celebrating the 20th Anniversary, Shen Yun Embarks on 2026 Tour with Congratulatory Wishes from Political Leaders

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Shen Yun Performing Arts will embark on a global tour with a brand-new production to showcase the essence of world art once again – the top-tier Chinese classical dance and the original blend of Chinese and Western music on the international stage.

On December 18, Shen Yun Performing Arts will arrive in France, kicking off its global tour and making appearances in major theaters worldwide during Christmas and New Year.

According to incomplete statistics, the Shen Yun 2026 performance season will cover all five continents, with plans to visit at least 20 countries and nearly 200 cities, presenting hundreds of performances.

Shen Yun’s eight artistic groups will simultaneously tour the world, from the Americas to Europe, from Asia to Oceania, offering a feast of art to global audiences, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries to showcase the profound essence of Chinese divine culture like never before.

Over the years, Shen Yun has toured all five continents, with its exquisite performances garnering praise from various prominent figures worldwide, solidifying its status as a highly anticipated annual event in the global arts and culture scene.

Pure and beautiful art, rooted in deep traditional culture – over the past 20 years, wherever Shen Yun has performed, it has received congratulations, recognition, and awards from leaders of many countries. On November 28, U.S. Senior Senator John Cornyn sent his congratulations to the Texas organizer of Shen Yun, celebrating the art troupe’s milestone 20th anniversary.

In his congratulatory letter, Senator Cornyn expressed, “This is a milestone worth celebrating for you and your entire team. Celebrating the 20th anniversary highlights your firm commitment to inheriting and sharing Chinese classical dance, music, and traditional culture. I support your continued pursuit of excellence in the years to come.”

During the 2026 performance season, Shen Yun Performing Arts will grace stages in major theaters worldwide, including 18 shows at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City, 12 shows at the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington D.C., 8 shows at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, 16 shows at the Paris International Convention Center, 11 shows at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, and 14 shows at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, Italy, among others.

Moreover, Shen Yun will also visit the important cities of Northern Europe, such as the Danish capital Copenhagen, where they will perform for the first time at the Royal Arena with a capacity of over 5,000 spectators for 5 consecutive nights from March 30 to April 2.

The National Auditorium in Mexico City, which can also accommodate 5,000 viewers, witnessed enthusiastic audiences during Shen Yun’s performances last year, with grand ovations occurring multiple times per show. The Paris International Convention Center Theatre, with over 3,600 seats, continues to be an essential stage for Shen Yun’s European tour.

Since its establishment in New York in 2006, Shen Yun has grown over two decades to include eight artistic groups and eight orchestras.

Similar to previous years, Shen Yun’s eight artistic groups’ 2026 global tour will span nearly five months. The simultaneous performances of all eight groups on the same day, a hallmark of past seasons, will be a recurring feature. For instance, on January 4, all eight groups will perform in cities such as Austin and Dallas in the U.S., Birmingham in the U.K., Toulon in France, Turin in Italy, Riga in Latvia, and Taoyuan in Taiwan.

On January 24, a total of 14 performances by the eight groups will simultaneously take place, expecting to attract nearly 30,000 audience members. This day will see 4 performances in Texas and California, 8 in top European cities like Paris, Milan, Vienna, and Woking in the Greater London area, and 2 in Chiayi, Taiwan, setting a grand stage for the performances.

In the 2026 season, Shen Yun will stage at least 100 performances in 15 cities across France, with a total ticket count reaching 250,000. Tickets in five French cities have already sold out, with total sales reaching 190,000 tickets by November 25, and nearly 500 groups purchasing group tickets. Additionally, ticket sales for 2027 in France are already in high demand. In Rouen, one company bought 490 tickets for Shen Yun’s 2027 performances in one go.

Italy also saw ticket sellouts in five cities, including three performances in Bari in late January, four shows in Udine in the northeast, and sold-out shows in Livorno, Ancona, and Avezzano. Due to last year’s tickets selling out three months in advance, the number of performances in Rome this year has increased from 6 to 9.

Based on statistics from December 10, tickets for three performances scheduled for January 24-25 in Woking in the Greater London area in the U.K. have almost sold out completely, reaching 99.9%.

Through dance and music arts, Shen Yun presents the divine culture of China’s 5,000 years, intertwining ancient wisdom, mythical stories, and the beauty of pure goodness in every performance, enlightening the audience’s minds and receiving immense praise and acclaim.

After watching a Shen Yun show at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York, former Metropolitan Opera lead dancer Frank Dellapolla said on April 8, 2025, “The precision and beauty displayed by the dancers in every performance is truly admirable. The entire show is not only a visual feast but also an art declaration of depth and significance.”

On April 21, 2025, Marie Lindqvist, recipient of the Royal Swedish Academy Medal for Literature and the Arts and former principal ballet dancer of the Royal Swedish Opera, expressed, “Praising the precision of the dancers is never exaggerating; it’s truly incredible! You can see the countless hours of hard work behind it all, with everyone’s movements being fluid, natural, precise, and synchronized effortlessly. It resembles the pursuit in classic ballet, where everything should flow seamlessly, like the clouds. It’s wonderfully exquisite!”

Hollywood music producer Phil Lober praised Shen Yun as the world’s number one Chinese show on April 25, 2025. He remarked, “The clever fusion of Eastern and Western instruments is truly remarkable. Many musicians attempt but fail to achieve this. Combining instruments like the pipa and the oboe, the erhu with the violin, the harmonic variations exhibited are truly captivating.”

Renowned Hollywood producer Tony Dody flew from Hollywood to Florida to watch Shen Yun. After watching the performance on the evening of March 19, 2025, he commented, “As the saying goes, seeing is believing, which perfectly aligns with tonight’s Shen Yun performance. When any art performance can educate and entertain, elevating the audience’s spiritual realm, that particular art will surely be immortal. In the midst of societal chaos, leaving people feeling dejected, tonight’s Shen Yun performance left the audience feeling uplifted, restoring hope to the world. Despite the multitude of turmoil, seeing a group of people persisting in doing the right things, promoting the kindness and beauty of humanity, even under persecution, is truly admirable. I sincerely hope everyone can see this shining beacon of humanity, the most dazzling light.”
